Why do I need to hire a wedding planner
/coordinator?

We will plan and manage the entire wedding
We will negotiate, organise and project manage the entire wedding planning process for you and provide regular updates enabling you to relax and enjoy the time leading up to the wedding.

We ensure our clients pay the lowest prices
Weddings can be very expensive and many brides end up paying inflated prices due to a lack of experience and market knowledge. We can ensure this does not happen and we invariably save our clients significant amounts of money by guiding them through the negotiation and supplier selection process. Our clients can rest assured that they will never be "ripped off".

We source favours, invitations and venue decorations from overseas
We can source innovative favours, invitations and venue decorations from suppliers in the US, Australia and Sri Lanka to match your wedding theme and style. This can lead to significant cost savings.

Supplier recommendations
We will only recommend suppliers known to be reliable, trustworthy and capable of delivering the best products and services for your special day. We will provide a choice of suppliers, all of whom will suit your style and budget and you can then make the final decision on who to employ.

We don’t accept commission from venues or suppliers
Samantha Salisbury Weddings does not accept commission from any venues or suppliers. This ensures that the suppliers and venues we recommend are chosen because they suit your needs and not because they give us a commission. Any discounts from suppliers will be passed on to you directly.


My venue has their own co-ordinator so do I really need to hire a wedding planner?

Co-ordinators provided by venues provide a very limited service. They can be extremely helpful on-site at the venue, however they will not assist with other equally important aspects such as:

Parts of the wedding taking place elsewhere, such as
church services, invitation and RSVP management
Theming
Supplier negotiation (indeed, many venues will only
recommend suppliers who pay them a commission)

Independent wedding planners such as Samantha Salisbury Weddings only represent the interests of their clients.


How does Samantha Salisbury Weddings charge for services?

Since all weddings are unique, we provide a detailed quotation for the services you require following an initial no-obligation consultation. Each service has a set fee and unlike many wedding planners we do not charge a percentage of the total wedding cost. As such, we do not earn more if the wedding becomes more expensive!

We do not accept commission from any venues or suppliers. This ensures that the suppliers and venues we recommend are chosen solely because they suit your needs. Any discounts from suppliers are passed directly onto clients.
